Condition Ranger
I was thinking about making my first devoted ranger a R/Me specializing in dishing out, and spreading conditions. The idea for this build came from the mesmer skill Epidemic, and i figured if i could stack 2 or 3 conditions on 1 lets say warrior, then epidemic them to the other warriors, life would be alot easier, and it seems pretty enjoyable.
Has anyone tried this type of build, or is there an existing build for it?

Lots of rangers seem to find that using Broad Head Arrow on a caster and using epidemic to spread it is a good idea. It's debateable whether it is or not, since the overall energy is so expensive...
There's no harm in trying it out in the first place, but
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/R/Me_Dazer
has a build that incorporates Epidemic with 4 conditions, might be what you're looking for

I played around with an Epidemic ranger a long time ago, and found that Epidemic has such a short radius of effect as to be almost useless.

Well, try it out, perhaps it's been buffed since I had a go at it. I admit it's been quite a long time ago I tried it. Also, there are plenty of mesmer skills that would fit into a ranger build - interrupts, stances, certain hexes.
Oh yeah one build I had a ton of fun with a while ago was getting a bunch of Ranger/Mesmers together and each of you bring a different elite (one Oath Shot, one Spike Trap, one Escape, etc.), and each bring Arcane Mimicry. Once you have played for a little while, you get to know which person has what, and you can "borrow" the elite you need at any given moment. When played well it is a lot of fun.

As far as I know, Epidemic's radius has not changed. Its still small, but still usable in PvE. Just don't expect creatures that are not clumpped together to be affected (its near, but not adjacent).
As far as I know, Archane Mimicry will only worth with spells, skills (thus Oath Shot, Melandru's Resilience, Escape, Spiketrap, etc.) will not work. So you'll be looking at Echo, Meteor Storm, Spiteful Spirit, Tainted Flesh, Virulence, etc.
Have you looked at Feavered Dreams? That's a nice elite for conditions.
Another good one is Melandru's Arrow. You are probably better off with Barb Trap, Apply Poison, Phantom Pain + Shatter Hex, Dust Trap or Signet of Midnight, then use epidemic.
Ranger/Mesmers are not just condition spammers, they are interupt masters, trap layers (interuptable trappers), etc.
Have fun.

The description for Arcane Mimicry on guru is incorrect. It copies any elite skill from a target ally. Here's what Wiki has to say on it.
I can think of a few interesting combos... Practiced Stance + Broad Head Arrow; Spike Trap + Trapper's Focus; Oath Shot + Escape... just to name a few.
The Rangers that aren't bringing Oath Shot would probably want to bring Serpent's Quickness, to get the 60 second recharge on Arcane Mimicry down to a decent level.
